 さて、今日のクイズはこちらです。

 Well,let's try today's quiz. 

 You have boarded the Shinkansen. You bought a ticket that allows you to freely choose your seat. The train is crowded, but you find one seat where no one is sitting. What do you say to the person sitting next to you? 

 あなたは新幹線に乗りました。買ったのは自由に席を選べるチケットです。 混雑する車内ですが、一つだけ誰も座っていない席を見つけました。その隣の席の人になんと声をかけますか？ 

The answer is....

" すみません、ここって空いてますか？"

 If you are closer to the seat, use 'ここ'; if the other person is closer to the seat, use 'そこ'. It's even better if you can use different "こそあどことば" too. 

 自分が席に近ければ「ここ」、相手の方が席に近ければ「そこ」を使います。 こそあどことばも使い分けられるとなお良いですね！
