The biggest event for otaku in Japan is coming. Yes, Comic Market! In honour of this, today I picked up a few words that we often see at such events! 

日本のオタク達にとって最大のイベントがやってきます。そう、コミックマーケットです！ それにちなんで、今日はそのようなイベントでよく見る言葉をピックアップしてみてました！ 

How would a otaku describe the failure to produce a new DOUJINSHI? 

新刊ができあがらなかったことを、オタクは何と表現するでしょうか。 

 ごめんなさい！新刊を【　　　】。 

The answer is "落としました". 

答えは「落としました」です。 

Otakus work hard at their jobs and studies, but at the same time they are passionate about their "DOUJINSHI". Sometimes they are so busy with their personal lives that they just can't get a new issue published in time. 

オタク達は仕事や学業に勤しむ傍らで、情熱を燃やして同人誌を作っています。時には私生活が忙しくて新刊がどうしても間に合わないこともあるんです。 

When this happens, I wipe my tears and say, "新刊落としました！ごめんなさい！". Let's admire their will and watch over them fight. 

そんなときは涙を拭いながら「新刊、落としました！ごめんなさい！」と言わざるを得ません。その意思を称えて、そっと見守ってあげしょうね。
