Summer holidays and Obon holidays are such summer events, and many people take consecutive holidays around them.
Do you know the common phrase when working people take holidays? 日本はめっきり夏めいて、毎日とても暑くてじめじめしています。そんな夏にあるイベントは夏休みやお盆休みいうわけですが、その周りで連休をとる人も多いです。
社会人が休みを取る時の常套文句を知っていますか？ Think of a word to fill in the blanks. 空欄を埋める言葉を考えてください。  来週月曜日と火曜日に【　　　】おやすみをいただきます。よろしくお願いします。 The answer is [しようで]. 答えは【私用で】です。 It is similar to the English phrase "attend to a personal matter". When you take holidays, you don't have to say the specific details, so this blurry way of saying it is often used. 英語でいう　attend to a personal matter に似ています。おやすみを取る時は具体的な内容を言う必要はないので、このようなぼかした言い方がよく使われますよ。 それでは今日はここまでです。また来週お会いしましょう！ That's all for today. Thank you for listening and see you next week. Bye!

こんなときのにほんご。シーズン2-54 （2023/7/23配信） Hello Everyone. I’m Megumi. How are you going? This Podcast telles you “simple Japanese conversation ". The theme of "A word on the spur of the moment!" Please listen to this Podcast! みなさんこんにちは、めぐみです。いかがお過ごしでしょうか。このポッドキャストでは、咄嗟の一言を日本語で言おう！をテーマにお送りしています。ぜひ聞いてみてくださいね。 Now, here is quiz for today! さて、早速今日のクイズです！ The biggest event for otaku in Japan is coming. Yes, Comic Market!
In honour of this, today I picked up a few words that we often see at such events! 日本のオタク達にとって最大のイベントがやってきます。そう、コミックマーケットです！
それにちなんで、今日はそのようなイベントでよく見る言葉をピックアップしてみてました！ How would a otaku describe the failure to produce a new DOUJINSHI? 新刊ができあがらなかったことを、オタクは何と表現するでしょうか。  ごめんなさい！新刊を【　　　】。 The answer is "落としました". 答えは「落としました」です。 Otakus work hard at their jobs and studies, but at the same time they are passionate about their "DOUJINSHI". Sometimes they are so busy with their personal lives that they just can't get a new issue published in time. オタク達は仕事や学業に勤しむ傍らで、情熱を燃やして同人誌を作っています。時には私生活が忙しくて新刊がどうしても間に合わないこともあるんです。 When this happens, I wipe my tears and say, "新刊落としました！ごめんなさい！". Let's admire their will and watch over them fight. そんなときは涙を拭いながら「新刊、落としました！ごめんなさい！」と言わざるを得ません。その意思を称えて、そっと見守ってあげしょうね。 それでは今日はここまでです。また来週お会いしましょう！ That's all for today. Thank you for listening and see you next week. Bye!
