Today's quiz is about a combination called '呼応の副詞'. This is a slightly grammatical part. 

今日は「呼応の副詞」と呼ばれる組み合わせについてのクイズです。少し文法的な部分になります。 

What is an adverb of response? for example, 決して〜ない まさか〜ない どうか〜ください 

It is of the form that if the word A comes before, it is always followed by B. 

前にAという言葉がきたら、その後に必ずBがついている、という形のものです。 

Now, then, 'まるで...' What is the word connected to? 

さて、それでは、「まるで〜」に繋がる言葉はなんでしょうか。 

The answer is 'ようだ' or 'みたいな'. 

答えは「ようだ」や「みたいな」です。 

 'まるで' is sometimes omitted, but 'ようだ, みたいだ、みたいな’ never goes away. 

「まるで」は省略されることもありますが、「ようだ、みたいだ、みたいな」がなくなることはありません。
