The answer is ‘つぶして’. 

答えは「潰して」です。 

The expression ‘じかんをつぶ’す corresponds to 'kill time' in English. This refers to 'doing little things to occupy your Waiting time'. Sometimes the Japanese expression ‘つぶす’ is used to refer to ‘pending time’, such as ‘じかんをつぶす’ or 'ひまをつぶす'. It may be useful to remember this. 

英語では　kill time　に当たる「時間を潰す」という表現です。 これは、「空いた時間を過ごすために、何かちょっとした物事を行なうこと」を指します。 「暇を潰す」とか「時間を潰す」とか、「時間を使う」ことを日本語では「潰す」という表現でいうことがあります。 

覚えておくと便利かもしれません。
